I am a Catholic therapist practicing in a Catholic setting: Having said that, I welcome clients of any or no faith background and do not proselytize. I have an extensive, thirty-year background in marital and relationship work, having been trained in Worldwide Marriage Encounter, PREP, FOCCUS, PREPARE, and PAIRS, and I draw on this background in working with couples. My goal is to support couples in building strong, healthy and loving relationships.

My office is a safe place to openly discuss issues and perspectives to achieve a complete understanding of the situation which brought the couple to my office. My approach is collaborative, that is, I work as a team with the couple to define their goals, to understand impediments to achieving those goals, and to explore alternative ways to surmount the impediments and reach the specified goals. I see relationship as an environment constructed by the parties involved, and therefore as an environment the parties can reconstruct if the environment is not supportive of a good relationship. I define success in therapy as having a couple achieve their healthy goals and have confidence that they have the tools necessary to sustain a healthy relationship.
