Life is better when we live in the shelter of each other... We are designed for it.
Marriages are like houses with many different components, intended to protect us from the harsh elements of life, and conflict is like weather, inevitable. Without proper management, conflict patterns erode the connective elements of a relationship, and things start to fall apart. Too often partners begin looking for the exits or settle for less, but, we know now how to help couples understand and manage their conflict, and restructure their emotional bonds to have the safety, security, and passion we all long for.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and clinical supervisor (NC) and an ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist and Supervisor as well as having been trained in Gottman Method, AEDP, Discernment Counseling and IBCT, and pull from other approaches that allow me to help couples navigate rough spots and relational traumas (such as affairs and addictions), and revive dormant bonds. I want partners to gain clarity and security, and I don’t give up hope that relationships can always improve if both partners are invested and willing to look at themselves. Whether serving couples directly or individual partners who are unsure about the viability or plasticity of their relationship, I provide a therapy that pulls for partners to dig deeper and invest further.
